NINA PAVLOVSKI  
studied at The Royal Academy of Music and The Royal Academy of Opera in Copenhagen  with Prof. Kim Borg, and from 1991 – 1998  with the Russian soprano Galina Vishnevskaya, Paris. Further studies  with Prof. Kirsten Buhl  Møller, Copenhagen.

She has given recitals and concerts in Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Bolivia, Russia and Japan as well as all over Denmark, where she frequently is broadcasted. 

Her operatic debut took place in 1993 in a new production of the Ring  (The Valkyrie) at The Danish National Opera in Aarhus. In 1996 she was invited as a guest, to sing the title role in  'Madama Butterfly',  at The Royal Opera in Copenhagen. She was reinvited to do 'Donna Anna'  in Mozart's 'Don Giovanni' in the following season. From 1997  she was a soloist in the ensemble of The Royal Opera in Copenhagen. The parts include  a.o.  'Donna Anna' , 'Madama Butterfly', 'Leonora'  in Carl Nielsens 'Maskarade', 'Liù' in Puccini's 'Turandot' and  'Alice Ford'  in Verdi's 'Falstaff'.

With maestro Mstislav Rostropovich she has been singing the title part, ‘Katarina’, in a concert production of Dmitri Shostakovich's opera 'Lady Macbeth of Mstensk' in St. Petersburg and Moscow (a reintroduction in Russia of the original 1932-version) with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic orchestra, soloists of the Bolshoi and Kirov Operas  and she was re-invited to St. Petersburg and Moscow to perform with the same orchestra and conductor in a celebration of Shostakovich as well as to perform at a Shostakovich Festival  in Tokyo.

In 2001 she sang for the first time the part of 'Tosca' (The Danish National Opera), a part she has later been successfully singing a.o. in an exciting new production by american director Christopher Alden at Opera North, UK.

Recent engagements include R.Strauss’ Vier Letzte Lieder in Spain, the parts of Georgette in Il Tabarro by Puccini as well as the title part in Francesca da Rimini by Rachmaninov in a prizewinning opera project directed by english director David Pountney, UK.

In January trough June 2006 she sang the part of Rosalinde in a new production of  The Bat at the new Opera House (the Royal Opera) in Copenhagen.

She has in concerts worked with conductors like Serge Baudo, Michael Schönwandt, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Giancarlo Andretta, Walther Weller, Mathias Aeschbacher, Dietfried Bernet, Tamas Vetö, Christian Badea, Giordano Belincampi, Francesco Cristofoli and Kent Nagano.

She has received several prizes a.o. The Aksel Schiøtz Prize 2000 and The Lumbye-Prize in 2002. The discography includes several CDs a.o. The End of Time by Rued Langgaard with Gennady Rozdestvensky and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra/DR, a solo CD of Shostakovich songs and Kundry in Wagner's Parsifal with Odense Symphony Orchestra cunducted by Wolf-Dieter Hauschildt.
